In the church this season is officially called "The Season After Pentecost," "Ordinary Time," or "Common Time."
Most people think of it as Fall or Autumn. Back to school, carving pumpkins, and eating Turkey takes up much of our time. How can we connect these activities with our life and work in the church?

Planning for the School Year
The church year may start with Advent and the fiscal year may start January 1, but for educators our year starts in September. The difficulty with that is that we either plan in the Spring (at the same time that we’re wrapping everything up), or in the summer (when everyone else is at the beach) or we jump in treading water for a while and actually plan in the fall.
