Dress code (business casual, jeans, or different depending on activity) Paid vacation time (how many Sundays does your church school director get off? 4 weeks is a good standard) Sick Days (do you have a specific number, or how will you deal with this?) Travel reimbursement (especially important for a youth minister who will drive to events and activities) Continuing Education (money set aside and time allowed) Spiritual Direction (if this is an expectation, how will the staff member pay for it) Sabbatical (a professional lay employee should receive the same sabbatical allowance as an ordained employee) |
