Background Checks &
Why should I insist on Background Checks and Safeguarding Training for myself?
1) It covers and protects you. In the training you will learn how to work with the children and youth in a healthy and appropriate way. This helps in false allegations.
2) If you insist that you participate in this, you can insist that everyone participates in this. Background checks and Safeguarding training are only the first steps in taking care of our children, but they are also, often, the strongest.
In the State of Michigan, you can have this done with a free service called ICHAT (in other states, contact the state police for information)
