So many people desire a stronger spiritual life, but don't know how to go about it. Or we know what to do, but don't set aside the time to work on it. Spiritual practices are just that - practices. We must do them regularly and consistently in order to see the results. Here are some resources that may help you on your way.

The Diocesan Rogation Day is the second of our four new Diocesan all ages gatherings (the first being St. Nicholas Day, with Family Camp and the Summer Kite Festival coming later this year). Saturday, April 25, 2015 Holy Trinity, Wyoming 10:00 am - 2:00 pm What are Rogation Days? The term is from the Latin rogatio, "asking." In England they were associated with the blessing of the fields at planting. The vicar "beat the bounds" of the parish, processing around the fields reciting psalms and the litany. In the United States they have been associated with rural life and with agriculture and fishing. What is the Diocesan Rogation Day? As a way for us to celebrate our connection to the season of spring, the environment, and our agricultural heritage, we can use this opportunity to come together as a diocese. What will we be doing? 9:30 doors open 10:00 gathering, introductions and a brief message about Rogation Day 10:30 break into age groups for activities children - an activity on the environment youth - an outreach activity around the grounds of Holy Trinity (bring a rake and work gloves) adults - a lesson and activity presented by the Bill Spaid, Canon to the Ordinary 12:00 lunch (with time for games and other activities) 1:00 Worship Why should we go? One of the biggest requests we get while traveling around the diocese is that people want more opportunities to come together and meet people in other parishes. Here's a wonderful opportunity to gather as we have fun and learn. Click here to register. |
